Lunar New Year at SHEA – Welcoming the Year of the Horse

Posted on :

SHEA proudly celebrated Lunar New Year with a festive morning tea, bringing students and staff together to welcome the Year of the Horse — a symbol of energy, strength, and progress.

The event created a warm space for students to connect, especially for students and staff who usually celebrate at home with family. With vibrant Lunar New Year–themed decorations across campus, the atmosphere was filled with joy and cultural spirit.

A highlight of the morning was a selection of festive bakery treats, including mooncakes. Traditionally round in shape, mooncakes symbolise unity and togetherness, making them a meaningful treat to share within our community.

At SHEA, celebrating Lunar New Year is about more than tradition – it’s about fostering belonging, inclusivity, and connection within our diverse student community. Here’s to a year of momentum, growth, and success for all.
