All Applicants

All applicants (domestic and international) must have an undergraduate degree (AQF 7) or higher (AQF level 8 and above) from a recognised university or other approved tertiary institution.

Entry requirements (domestic and international) for admission to the MIT including advanced standing and credit for prior learning arrangements include:

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in a related IT discipline

    Applicants with qualifications in a related IT discipline will need to complete an application for advanced standing to gain credit for prior learning.

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in any discipline AND

    either

    two years relevant work experience with significant exposure to the application of technology

    OR 

    evidence of academic capability judged to be equivalent.

International Applicants

In addition to the entry requirements listed above, international students whose first language is not English must demonstrate that their English proficiency meets the specified level of English proficiency for the MIT course by providing proof of an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) overall test result (or equivalent alternative test result as defined by regulation). The IELTS requirement for the MIT is 6.5 or higher overall, with no band lower than 6.

Note: All documents should be in English and must be original or certified.
